Dear AHCDC Colleagues,
With great sadness, we wish to let you know that Elianna Saidenberg passed on away Sunday October 20th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. For many of us, it is hard to imagine the loss of her vibrant spirit and energy. Elianna was passionate about her work and life. She cared deeply about her patients and her colleagues. As a physician, she would always go the extra mile to ensure her patients received the best care. She was a tireless patient advocate, particularly championing patients with insufficient financial funds. Despite her ongoing illness, she was always there to support her colleagues and friends. As a teacher and mentor, she seemed to find endless energy and enthusiasm to share her love of hematology, hemostasis, and transfusion medicine with those entering the medical profession. Beyond everything, Elianna was devoted to her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Doron, and her daughters Abby and Joey during this difficult time. She was far too young to leave us and we will miss her deeply.
